What can I do to prevent hair loss?

ULooKWeiRD asked:

I’m in my mid 20′s and I am starting to notice that I am losing more and more hair while in the shower. It is still not noticeable yet on my head however. Is there something I can do or eat or drink to prevent it or at least slow the process?
By the way, does lack of sleep contribute to hair loss? I only get about 4 hours a night now that I am working and going to school full time.

Stress can be a reason.Hair loss is caused by many reasons such as malnutrition, illness, tension and other health problems. It is normal to shed some hair each day as part of a cycle of growing new hairs and loosing some. Badly damaged hair breaks at the scalp. Check out for more info.
